One of my favorite sites to visit every day ticked me off last night
Astronomy Picture of the Day 4/21/09 was about global warming and they said:
“How much will the Earth’s surface warm up over the lives of our children? No one is sure. Compared to the past 100 million years, the Earth is currently enduring a relative cold spell, possibly about four degrees Celsius below average. Over the past 100 years, however, data indicate the average global temperature of the Earth has increased by nearly one degree Celsius.”
Lets analyze this sentence which is written by two Astrophysicis (since when was climate their area of expertise?). First it states Earth is currently experiencing a cold spell compared to the last 100 mission years. Also you should know we have been cooling the last few years and have experienced very cold winter. Here in Phoenix we’ve had freezing temperatures in December when we normally don’t freeze at all. Two winters ago we had a record cold snap for a few days that froze and killed trees, plants all over the valley and froze plumbing all over.
Next they tell us we are having global warming because the average had increased by “nearly 1 degree Celsius” which is 9/5ths of a Fahrenheit degree, or 1 degree Celsius = 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit. So the average over the last 100 years has gone up less than 2 degrees Fahrenheit.
To convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit, first multiply by 180/100, then add 32
To convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius, first subtract 32, then multiply by 100/180
What they haven’t told you is we have only had accurate records about that long and how accurate they are is debatable. Or that there are 31,478 American scientists who have signed the Global Warming Petition Project which states they are “convinced that the human-caused global warming hypothesis is without scientific validity and that government action on the basis of this hypothesis would unnecessarily and counter productively damage both human prosperity and the natural environment of the Earth.” They have a 12 page article on why Global warming isn’t science.. The environmental effects of rapid expansion of the nuclear and hydrocarbon energy industries are discussed.”
Or that the a good number of the stations that provide the data aren’t properly sited and give very bad readings.

The Global warming scare isn’t about “saving the planet or mankind” It is about power, money and control over YOU. The people who are pushing it are either dupes of the people pushing it or the ones who are making the money on it and want power and control. GE which owns NBC through them other media outlets is the biggest producer of CFL lights and lobbied congress to ban regular light bulbs. Gore who is a hypocrite and sells carbon credits. There are many others but I don’t have time to research them.
