Herman Cain

Top Ten Reasons to Support Herman Cain for President American Thinker

Herman Cain was the only one at the South Carolina debate that impressed me at all. Cain was the only one there I felt I could vote for. Ron Paul lost me at closing Gitmo and no water boarding, no way would I vote for the guy from NM Johnson? I’m semi libertarian but I’m also a social conservative Christian. I’m a pro business, small government, slash spending and taxes, don’t bother me sort of guy.

J.D. Hayworth’s contract with Arizona Citizens

The rest of the republicans need to get their acts together and do some thing like this, like they did with the Contract With America during the Clinton administration. It is much more critical now that America takes back both houses of congress from the socialist progressives who are destroying our economy and everything that America has stood for.

J.D. HAYWORTH’S CONTRACT WITH ARIZONA CITIZENS
As a U.S. Senator representing the state of Arizona, I pledge to:

• Oppose any measure granting amnesty to illegal aliens and reintroduce the “Enforcement First Act” as well as sponsor, co-sponsor and champion bills that work to create a secure border and protect citizens from the rising violence caused by illegal aliens.
• Serve only two consecutive terms in the U.S. Senate and introduce appropriate measures to require term limits for all legislative and judicial officers.
• Reintroduce the “Congressional Responsibility Act” limiting runaway regulations by mandating proposed regulations first be approved by the House and Senate before being enacted.
• Introduce the “Constitutional Citation Act” requiring all bills introduced in Congress identify the provisions of the Constitution that provide authorization for congressional action.
• Support and/or introduce legislation to repeal and/or defund ObamaCare.
• Support and/or introduce efforts to audit the Federal Reserve.
• Support and/or introduce a constitutional amendment requiring the federal government operate under a balanced budget.
• Oppose all legislation related to “Cap and Trade.”
• Reintroduce and make permanent the Bush tax cuts.
• Introduce legislation reforming the earmark process in the U.S. Senate.

I will dedicate my efforts, time and ability in making these important issues and concerns my top priority in the United States Senate. The people of Arizona and citizens of America deserve the best representation available. I promise to be that Senator.

Here is your contract with Arizona and J.D. Hayworth

• If you want to see conservatism restored to the federal government,
• If you want to put the brakes on out of control Washington spending,
• If you want to send a loud and clear message to the Washington establishment that the American people are fed up with rising taxes, increasing government regulations, and ever expanding federal agencies,
• If you want someone to represent the conservative values of Arizonans, and the values of hard working Americans who have grown tired of Washington rhetoric,
• If you want clear and decisive actions to stop the out-of-control leftist administration,

Then YOU need to vote for J.D. Hayworth, the consistent conservative,
for Arizona and the United States of America.

JD for Senate

SB1070 – 492R – House Bill Summary

Most everything you are hearing on the news About Arizona’s immigration enforcement bill 1070 is a lie, read it for yourself. There is no racism, there is no prevision for anyone to stop you on the street and ask for “your papers”. You can not be stopped unless you are breaking some other law. If you have valid ID then there is no problem. If you are driving around with out a drivers license then you have a problem ANYONE would have, not just “brown people”.

SB1070 – 492R – House Bill Summary

I have quoted a small relevant part of it below.

“Section 1. Intent

The legislature finds that there is a compelling interest in the cooperative enforcement of federal immigration laws throughout all of Arizona. The legislature declares that the intent of this act is to make attrition through enforcement the public policy of all state and local government agencies in Arizona. The provisions of this act are intended to work together to discourage and deter the unlawful entry and presence of aliens and economic activity by persons unlawfully present in the United States.

Sec. 2. Title 11, chapter 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 8, to read:

ARTICLE 8. ENFORCEMENT OF IMMIGRATION LAWS

START_STATUTE11-1051. Cooperation and assistance in enforcement of immigration laws; indemnification

A. No official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state may limit or restrict the enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law.

B. For any lawful stop, detention or arrest made by a law enforcement official or a law enforcement agency of this state or a law enforcement official or a law enforcement agency of a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state in the enforcement of any other law or ordinance of a county, city or town or this state where reasonable suspicion exists that the person is an alien and is unlawfully present in the United States, a reasonable attempt shall be made, when practicable, to determine the immigration status of the person, except if the determination may hinder or obstruct an investigation. Any person who is arrested shall have the person’s immigration status determined before the person is released. The person’s immigration status shall be verified with the federal government pursuant to 8 United States code section 1373(c). A law enforcement official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state may not consider race, color or national origin in implementing the requirements of this subsection except to the extent permitted by the United States or Arizona Constitution. A person is presumed to not be an alien who is unlawfully present in the United States if the person provides to the law enforcement officer or agency any of the following:

  1. A valid Arizona driver license.
  2. A valid Arizona nonoperating identification license.

  3. A valid tribal enrollment card or other form of tribal identification.”

Obama’s passport

This was forwarded to me.

Whether the Obama Birthers are right or not, all the President has to do is answer one Question

ONE SIMPLE QUESTION.  PASS IT ON AND ON AND ON.
   Paul Hollrah

While I’ve little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at UTFSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question:

What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York , Jakarta, and Karachi?

So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981,without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later?

And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta and Karachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration?

The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama’s citizenship a rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A :Yes, by his own admission.

Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities…
1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport,
2) He traveled with a British passport, or
3) He traveled with an Indonesian passport.

Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U…S. State Department’s  “no travel” list in 1981..

Conclusion:
When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.

If he were traveling with a British passport that would provide proof he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims.
And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a “natural born” American citizen between 1981 and 2008..

Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

If you Don’t care if Your President is not a natural born Citizen and in Violation of the Constitution, then Delete this and go into your cocoon.

If you do care then Forward this

Proposed 28th Amendment

Congress shall make no law that applies to any citizen of the United States that does not apply equally to all US Senators and Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to any US Senator or Representative that does not apply equally to all citizens of the United States. All existing laws and regulations that do not meet these criteria shall be declared null and void!”
courtesy of Phil Snider and Marvin Everest

While a good idea, I don’t think it goes far enough.

I’d change it to read: Congress nor courts or Federal agency shall make no law, order or ruling that does not apply equally to all citizens of the United States, including all members of the executive, legislative and judicial branches. All existing laws and regulations that do not meet these criteria shall be declared null and void!

The History of Money

money Educational video explaining the Constitutional and legal history of the US Dollar. This video contains many high resolution images showing many examples of all the the money the United States has produced since the very beginning. This is the thinking of the people who support a return to the Gold Standard, and rightful Constitutional money. I used nothing but established historical facts, and clear images of the money itself. This is what Ron Paul is talking about, and this is WHY we have the crisis we have now. Regardless of partisan politics, or economic philosophy, gold and silver money is the law. It’s vitally important all Americans understand what exactly a dollar IS.

ObamaCare Is All About Rationing

ObamaCare Is All About Rationing

By MARTIN FELDSTEIN

Although administration officials are eager to deny it, rationing health care is central to President Barack Obama’s health plan. The Obama strategy is to reduce health costs by rationing the services that we and future generations of patients will receive..

Wind power

On a whim after doing a survey for Harris about wind and Solar power I Googled Wind Power and came up with this article at aweo.org :: Industrial Wind Energy Opposition

This is a brief over view and then the full article with cite’s to supporting material.

Brief account of the problems with industrial wind power generation

The Full ArticleA Problem With Wind Power

A brief summery of what he says is that wind power causes more problems than it solves, doesn’t produce it’s claimed benefits or even a fraction of it’s promised power and most nations that have been using it are stopping because of the problems. One of the bigger problems is the wind doesn’t blow reliably and rarely when we need the power the most so they haven’t reduced the need for even one conventional power plant.
Anyone who tells you wind power is great and we need it is lying to you or just plain ignorant of the facts.  The best answer to our electricity needs is nuclear power. Even the Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted the need for it in his plan to convert California to “green power” that is going to cost the state and consumers billions of dollars.  I saw it in his speech last year, but couldn’t find it on YouTube..
